Managing Absences and Leave in the Training Workshop

Absence management tracks the attendance, absences and leave of apprentices and trainers. Digitised, it does away with paper lists, gives an immediate overview and makes follow-up easier — a chronic absentee is spotted before it becomes a problem.

What attendance management covers

Why it matters in training

Attendance in the workshop determines the acquisition of practical skills. Clear tracking makes it possible to act early in case of absenteeism, to justify absences and to strengthen the link between the training company and the school. It is also a way of building the apprentice's sense of responsibility.

Absence management works together with machine booking and scheduling: an absent trainer or an apprentice on leave is reflected in the organisation of workstations, avoiding unnecessarily blocking a machine.

Absences in MECAFLOW
