MF·LEA  Excellence family

From whiteboard to measured action. Continuous improvement, tooled up.

5S, the morning huddle, Kaizen: rituals that too often fizzle out for lack of a proper tool. MECAFLOW anchors them in the workshop — 5S audits by zone with before/after photos and a score, SQCDP kept up daily, improvement actions tracked through to closure, and OEE to measure the effect.

What the Excellence family does

All of Lean in the same workshop

5S, the daily huddle, Kaizen, standards and OEE no longer live in five separate binders — they talk to each other, in the same place.

5S
5S audit by zone

Each zone is scored on Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain; the radar chart shows where things stall and the score tracks progress over time.

PHOTOS
Before / after

One photo of the zone before the action, one after; the visual proof stays attached to the audit, timestamped.

SQCDP
Daily huddle

Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People, Progress: the morning ritual kept on screen, green or red, with the action behind every red.

KAIZEN
Improvement actions

Every idea becomes an action with an owner and a due date; nothing gets lost between two meetings.

A3
A3 & 5 Whys

The problem traced back to its root cause via 5 Whys, formalized on a shared A3 rather than a forgotten sticky note.

STANDARDS
Standards & instructions

Work instructions at the workstation, up to date and accessible; the standard locks in the best practice once it's found.

OEE
OEE

Availability, performance, quality: OEE measures the effect of improvement projects instead of assuming it.

SCORE
Progress tracked

5S scores and indicators are compared audit to audit; you read the trend, not the impression.

How it works

From observation to improvement that sticks

Three steps, from a measured observation to an action tracked through to closure.

1

Audit the zone

You go through the 5S of the zone, score each axis, photograph the state. The radar chart and the score come out on their own.

2

Open the action

A red axis, an idea raised at the daily huddle: you create a Kaizen action or an A3, with an owner and a due date.

3

Measure the effect

The after photo, the new 5S score and OEE confirm the project paid off — or that it needs another pass.

Frequently asked questions

What workshop managers ask

Do you need a sensor to calculate OEE?

No. OEE is calculated from workstation entries alone (QR + PIN). Once you add the Pulse sensor or a machine connection, performance is measured automatically, but you start without installing anything.

Is the Excellence module included everywhere?

Yes. The Excellence module — 5S audits, SQCDP huddle, Kaizen, A3, work standards and OEE — is included in every MECAFLOW subscription, with no premium option and no extra cost, and free of charge for vocational schools.

Can we keep our own work standards?

Yes. You upload your existing instructions and standards; MECAFLOW makes them accessible at the workstation and keeps them up to date, without imposing a format on you.

Are the before/after photos kept?

Yes. Each photo stays attached to its 5S audit, timestamped and made in Switzerland (data in Europe). The score history per zone can be reviewed at any time.

Make 5S a measured reflex — not a poster that fades.

Activate the Excellence module on your workshop and turn your Lean rituals into tracked actions, backed by evidence.
