What the People (HR) family does

From the morning clock-in to the approved month

HR in a workshop comes down to three questions: who is here, how many hours, and what is owed in leave and overtime. MECAFLOW answers them in one place, with figures you can justify.

CLOCK-IN
The tablet becomes the time clock

NFC badge or code at the workstation. Lunch break deducted automatically, night / Saturday / Sunday premiums counted separately.

MISSED CLOCK-OUT
Forgotten clock-out, never billed

The day is automatically capped and flagged to correct: night hours never become work time.

BALANCE
Rolling hours counter

Plus and minus each week, carried over month to month, recoverable as time off — with an alert when it drifts.

LABOUR ACT
Compliant time register

Hours, breaks and rest periods logged and printable, in line with Art. 46 of the Swiss Labour Act. Ready for a labour inspection.

ABSENCES
Vacation, sick leave, service, leave

Request from the phone, approval by the manager, balances always up to date. Sick leave and military/civil service never touch vacation days.

FILE
The personnel binder

Contract, employment rate, salary, AVS/AHV number and work permit with expiry alert — decisive in a border region.

EQUIPMENT
What's issued, what's returned

Keys, badge, PPE, phone: issued, countersigned, returned on departure. No more equipment that vanishes.

CERTIFICATES
Forklift, crane, first-aid

Date obtained, expiry date, alert before it lapses. An expired qualification no longer catches anyone off guard.

HANDOVER
The approved month, ready to hand over

Hours, overtime, absences and premiums, closed per person. MECAFLOW does not issue payslips: it supplies the figures your payroll bureau works from.

SWISS FADP
Sensitive data, tracked access

Salary, AVS/AHV number and medical certificates stay within the owner / HR circle — and every access is logged.

How it works

Two taps a day, and the month takes care of itself

People are already in MECAFLOW: an assistant fills in what's missing, with nothing to re-enter.

1

Clock in

A tap on arrival, a tap on leaving, on the workshop tablet. Everyone sees their balance from their phone.

2

Approve

The manager corrects what needs correcting and approves the month. Nothing counts as final until it has been approved.

3

Close, archive

The month closed per person, the printable Labour Act register, the balances carried forward. Everything stays justifiable, years later.

Frequently asked questions

What owners ask before signing

Is the time register legally compliant?

Yes. Article 46 of the Swiss Labour Act requires employers to keep a register of hours, breaks and rest periods, available for inspection by the labour authority. MECAFLOW keeps it automatically from clock-ins and corrections, and prints it per person and per period — including night, Saturday and Sunday premiums.

Does MECAFLOW calculate payroll?

No, and we would rather say so before you sign: MECAFLOW does not issue payslips, does not calculate AVS/AHV, LPP/BVG or withholding tax deductions, and is not Swissdec-certified. The module measures working time and absences. At the end of the month you export, per person, the approved hours, the premiums and the absences — exactly what your payroll bureau or your accountant needs in order to do its job in its own certified system. The salary itself is recorded in the personnel file as reference information, with every access logged.

Are clock-in hours and project hours the same thing?

No, and they should never be confused. Clock-in measures attendance — the hours owed to the person. Time logged on an order or a project measures productive time — what is charged to a job. The two counters coexist, and the gap between them is itself a useful indicator.

What if someone forgets to clock out?

The day is automatically capped at the duration you've defined, flagged "to correct" and reported to HR. Night hours are never counted as work time, and a manual correction is always possible — and logged.
